Francesca has over 25 years experience as a corproate finance accountant working within various industries such as oil & gas, construction and manufacturing.  She also has an extensive background in volunteering for various nonprofit organizations such as holding a position as Tresauer for a Girls Guides regional club, Treasurer in various Hockey Tournaments/functions and also as a community member for a budget commitee of a growing Fraser Valley School board. For the past 15 years, Francesca's passion for contributing to the community has been extensive ever scince her kids were participating either in dance and/or sports groups. Besides Francesca's work and volunteer experience, she has also persued her CPA and has furthered her studies in completing her MBA.

Yvonne Allen is the founder of Voice for the Horse Society, a humane-education initiative that brings together children, horses, music, and storytelling to inspire empathy, courage, and creative expression. For more than fifteen years, her work has blended equine-assisted healing, youth empowerment, and the arts — creating projects where horses become teachers and children become authors of their own stories.

As a trained Virtues Project International Facilitator, Yvonne is endorsed to teach emotional intelligence, restorative conversations, and values-based learning to youth and adults. Her facilitation work emphasizes kindness, integrity, self-governance, and the belief that every voice deserves to be heard with dignity. The Virtues Project has granted her permission to use their international curriculum within her programs and publications. 

Yvonne’s creative and advocacy work includes:

• Literary projects, including a memoir on trauma recovery, spirituality, and the healing bond with horses
   
• Music and video productions that teach values and virtues through the wisdom of horses, with new editions in development
   
• Equine-inspired emotional wellness activities rooted in the Virtues™ educational model
   
• Trauma-informed creative curriculum in development for women in recovery and correctional settings
   
• International children's writing competitions and value-based educational resources
   

As a writer, she is the author of the forthcoming memoir Riding Days Between Two Worlds, an intimate story of healing, neuroplasticity, friendship, and the horse–human bond. She is also developing a trauma-informed memoir-writing program for women in recovery and correctional settings — a curriculum designed to help restore identity, reconnect purpose, and empower personal transformation through story.

Driven by lived experience and a deep respect for humanity, Yvonne believes in restorative paths — not broken ones. Her life’s work honors the wisdom of horses, the resilience of the human spirit, and the healing that comes when a voice is finally heard.

Born in Yellowknife, NWT, and adopted in British Columbia, I've always had a creative spark reflected in my doodles and drawings throughout school. While my parents emphasized a solid education for a secure career, my heart leaned towards art.

With support from teachers who recognized my talent, I chose to major in Visual Arts and focus on Psychology at university. Completing a piece of art brings me immense joy and fuels my ambition to combine creativity with an interest in mental health.

As I progress in my studies, I’m drawn to understanding healing from trauma and grief. I look forward to pursuing a master’s in art therapy. My mission is to inspire and support others through my passions—art, music, animals, and community—as I engage with those around me.
