Experience the Legacy

At Voice for the Horse, every song, story, and video we create is part of a growing legacy — one that connects hearts through compassion, courage, and creativity.

Our productions honor the bond between children and horses, where music meets meaning and imagination becomes advocacy. Each piece invites young people to step into the world of empathy — to listen, learn, and lend their voices to those who cannot speak for themselves.

Through our Wild Horse Stories eBook and music video projects like Stronger and Voice of Truth, we celebrate the wisdom of the horse and the power of human kindness. Together, these works form the foundation for our Leading the Change Music Project — an initiative that brings children out to the country to create their own personalized music videos, inspired by their time with horses.

Experience the legacy — where every word, every song, and every heartbeat helps shape a kinder world.

Stronger

Stronger — A Song of Courage and Resilience

Stronger was the anthem that started it all — a song born from courage, hope, and the belief that music can give horses a voice. Its message invited children to imagine, to write, and to dream, revealing how deeply young hearts connect with the strength and spirit of horses.

From those early stories and reflections came music, videos, and a growing sense of purpose. This was a turning point — a moment when the horse’s story was no longer silent, and a new generation began listening with empathy and care.

From Songs to Vision

As these songs found their way into the world, a larger vision began to take shape — one centered on creativity, compassion, and connection.

More than a decade ago, the Leading the Change music project was thoughtfully developed as a youth-based initiative exploring how music, horses, and storytelling could invite children to step beyond the classroom and into meaningful, hands-on experiences.

While the full program was never formally launched, its foundation lives on through the music, artwork, and stories created during that time — reminders of what is possible when young voices are invited to lead with kindness.

These early designs continue to inform the heart of Voice for the Horse today, shaping how we think about creativity, youth engagement, and the role of horses in helping children find their voice.

Trilogy of Music

Trilogy Song #1

Waiting for You to Know Me — A Song of Kindness, Trust, and Patience

Waiting for You to Know Me invites listeners to slow down and truly see one another — to recognize the gentle wisdom shared between horses and children when trust is allowed to bloom. It’s a sweet, tender country-style song that reminds us that kindness and understanding take time, and that love grows in quiet moments of connection.

Through its melody, it opens a door to belonging — where being seen and known feels like coming home.

Because when we take the time to know another being, we begin to know ourselves.

Trilogy Song #2

I Will Run With You — A Song of Courage and Unity

I Will Run With You celebrates resilience, diversity, and the unspoken bond that unites all beings through love and understanding. It reminds us that even in our differences, we can move together toward hope.

This song was written to inspire children to stand against bullying, judgment, and fear — and to choose empathy instead. Through rhythm, movement, and shared spirit, it calls every listener to rise, run, and remember that they are never alone.

Because when we run together, the world becomes a kinder place.

Trilogy Song #3

Stepping Into Your Life — A Song of Courage and Becoming

Stepping Into Your Life is a song about empowerment — about finding the strength to rise, to speak, and to become the person you were always meant to be. It celebrates the moment when fear gives way to confidence, when silence turns into voice, and when a child realizes their own power to create change.

Through this uplifting melody, listeners are reminded that every dream begins with a single brave step. Horses teach us this lesson every day — to trust, to move forward, and to meet the world with an open heart.

Step into your life — because the world is waiting for the light only you can bring.

Honoring Seabiscuit - A Song Written from the Heart

This music was born from an unexpected and deeply meaningful invitation. Through a connection with Jacqueline Cooper of the Seabiscuit Heritage Foundation, we were honored with the opportunity to write a song inspired by Seabiscuit — a horse whose story continues to represent courage, perseverance, and heart against all odds.

What began as a single song grew into a series of creative moments shared across the places and people who continue to carry Seabiscuit’s legacy forward. The three excerpts shared below reflect different facets of that journey.

One features the official music video for Leading Your Way, filmed at Hastings Racecourse in Vancouver, British Columbia — a tribute brought to life on historic racing ground. The others capture conversations and moments with those who have preserved Seabiscuit’s history, including a special visit filmed at the Howard Ranch in Willits, California.

Together, these pieces honor not only a legendary horse, but the enduring human and equine bonds that keep his story alive — reminding us that true greatness is carried forward through humility, care, and love.

Seabiscuit Adventures

“Leading Your Way” — The Heart of a Champion

Filmed at Hastings Racecourse in Vancouver, British Columbia, this music video honors Seabiscuit — a small horse with a mighty heart whose story reminds us that true greatness is born from belief.

The "Howard Ranch" Adventures

Adventures at the Seabiscuit Heritage Foundation

Our journey continued to Ridgewood Ranch, California, home of the legendary Seabiscuit.  In this special tribute video, Yvonne Allen visits the Seabiscuit Heritage Foundation to share the song Leading Your Way and to honor the people who have lovingly preserved Seabiscuit’s story.

Filmed among the ranch’s historic barns, rolling pastures, and the Howard House where Seabiscuit once lived, the piece captures the quiet beauty and reverence of a place where history still breathes.  This visit was filled with laughter, photographs, and heartfelt conversations with Jacqueline Cooper, then Executive Director of the Foundation.  It stands as a joyful celebration of kindness, legacy, and the enduring bond between horse and human.

Every step on that ranch felt like walking beside a legend — a reminder that greatness lives on in those who choose to remember.

Meet Seabisuit's Family Historian's

Conversations with Tom & Wilma Howard — Stories from the Heart of Seabiscuit

In this third segment of our Seabiscuit tribute series, Yvonne Allen welcomes Tom and Wilma Howard — family historians devoted to preserving Seabiscuit’s legacy — into her home for an intimate conversation about the champion’s enduring story.

Through reflections on race-day triumphs and quieter moments at Ridgewood Ranch, the conversation reveals the values that carried Seabiscuit into legend: humility, heart, and hope. The segment also features Tiffany McNeil, the recording artist behind Leading Your Way, whose insights bring the song’s purpose to life — a reminder that greatness often begins with belief.

The piece closes in lighthearted laughter in the barn, where a gentle horse named Charlie steals the scene, reminding us that even the greatest legacies are grounded in joy, presence, and love.

My Pony Took Me Flying

A Lullaby for Dreamers of All Ages

My Pony Took Me Flying is a gentle lullaby that carries children — and the child within us all — into a world where imagination knows no limits. Inspired by the quiet wonder of a starry night in the barn, the song reminds us that peace and magic live in the simplest moments shared with a beloved horse.

“I lay down with my pony in the barn last night… I dreamed that I could see the stars and I could fly.”
Through words like these, listeners are invited to rest, to dream, and to remember that beauty and hope are always within reach.

When we close our eyes and listen with our hearts, even the stillness of the night can take us flying.
